Alumni meet was held on 21st April 2012 at MVSR engineering college

The event began with ‘the lighting of the lamp’ by the principal and other dignitaries marking the beginning of the event. The invocation was rendered by Ms. Sneha Sree of the Civil Dept. Our Principal, Dr.Uday Kumar, presided over the function and said that it gives him a great pleasure to address the MVSR alumni on this occasion of our alumni reunion. A day like this is very important as it gives us the opportunity to meet with many of our graduates after a long time. The alumni are able to meet each other, their former lectures and other staff. It also enables the alumni to familiarize themselves with the developments at the alma mater. He also requested the alma mater to fix a date for annual alumni meet probably in the month of December and make this body strong by electing a body for alumni. He emphasized that the greatest asset of any institute is it’s people – the students, the faculty, the administration and you, the Alumnus. Our Alumnus is performing extremely well at various places and positions throughout the world, which is the pride of the college and is the treasure to the institute.
Mr.Seetharam babu Member MES and the Alumni has congratulated the college administration for organizing the meet. He said that such Alumni Meet brings together a wealth of talented and capable professionals who share their expertise and experience, and brainstorm on the prospective. Three decades ago, ours was a tiny, struggling institution. Today, students and scholars of our college cover the globe in their search for knowledge and meaning, and their contributions make a difference everywhere. As alumni who truly love and faithfully support this great institution what we are doing and where we plan to go.
Dr.P.A.Sastry Director Academics talked about the infrastructure and course offered by mvsrec. He said in recent years MVSREC has steadily been building capacity to create a truly great college. In his view, greatness requires four things: wonderful students enjoying a tremendous student experience; very successful faculty; a supportive campus learning environment; and substantial financial resources. He requested the Alumni to visit our college website and enroll as a member which can keep the updated on the events in the campus. He proudly mentioned the All India GATE Top ranks achieved by the students of MVSREC.
Prof S.G.S.Murthy tender his gratitude to each and every one present for finding time to be a part of the event today. It takes a lot of sacrifice to set aside time out of your busy schedules and come over to such a function. He hoped that the experiences of this day will be worth the sacrifice each one present has made. He also suggested alumni coordinator to keep in touch with alumni through mail and website to this body strong.
Dr.V.V. Satyanarayana former principal spoke on this occasion and suggested alumni to help the present students. He requested the management to create a place for the alumni office, which can be contributed by alumni. He was happy to see his students who passed out of the college.
Mr. Subramaniyam Associate professor and the Alumni has welcomed his friends thanked them for their presence. He said that Alumni are the brand ambassadors of the Institution and a very vibrant relationship must be established and nurtured. Being the president of the Alumni body said will register the body legally and will publish the objective of the body shortly. He requested the management to allocate space to create an office in the college campus.
Dr. Vijay kumari professor JNTU 1992 pass out from CSE department was happy about the meet was ready to contribute to the college.
Mr.Jagdeesh mechanical branch passed out in 2006, said that each day spent in college remains a cherished memory. While in college he was initially very nervous and had sleepless nights not being able to adjust to new surroundings. Later he was happy to have taken the decision of joining MVSREC. He Emphasized that the faculty of MVSR was very supportive and encourage him through the course. He said he is having a great time and was reliving the past. He said is looking at the advantage of being member and wants to set a tone for the next meeting.
Mr.Sravan Kumar mechanical branch passed out in 1995, remembered Dr.P.A.Sastry was the HOD when he was the student and emphasized the power the alumni in development of the college. He has been giving lecturing in other college, will be happy to come back and contribute to the college. He has also maintained a data base of his batch mates, will be happy to share the same with Alumni body.
Joy Daniel ECE Department passed out in 2011, wants to be an active member of the body, and suggested that each batch to coordinate with their batch mates.
Narsishmalu S mechanical branch passed out in 1993 working for Osmania University has stated that he was in touch with many of his batch mates and will contribute to his might. He appreciated the faculty of MVSREC and said that our faculty is the best when compared to all the top colleges in Hyderabad, also was happy that our college started an automobile branch. He said that better advertisement would get better quality of students.
The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Mrs. Kavitha of ECE department.
