Functions: The committee studies / reviews/ recommends / approves the following:- 

1. R&D proposals to various funding agencies put up by heads of dept.
2. Funding or infrastructure to be provided by College
3. Possible contribution by industry or other agencies to R&D
4. Establishment of specialized facilities for testing or skill training
5. Training by college faculty in specialised areas to industry
6. Ongoing Consultancy activities and additional support for furtherance
7. Funding student UG and PG projects with R&D orientation
8. Patent proposals
