Functions
The Cell acts as a forum for discussing thrust areas of technology for possible R&D, and through the department representatives, informs, encourages initiatives various activities by faculty members, and helps to finalize details to be put up to Central R&D committee.
i. Thrust areas of technology
ii. R&D and Consultancy proposals to various funding agencies likeDST, UGC and AQIS of AICTE,etc
iii. Funding or infrastructure to be provided by dept.
iv. Possible contribution by industry or other agencies to R&D
v. Establishment of specialized facilities for testing or skill training
vi. Training by college faculty in specialized areas to industry
vii. Ongoing Consultancy activities and additional support for furtherance
viii. Funding student UG and PG projects with R&D orientation

The Cell ensures proper record of the activities, deadlines, related correspondence and assists in preparing utilization certificates.
