Department has offered Technical Consultancy in the Year 1997-2000, for M/s. Chelmi Cotton & Chemicals, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. Dr.P.A.Sastry, Professor & Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was the Consultant Coordinator. The Project involves Design of mechanism for uni-directional pressing & fabrication supervision. The figure shows fabricated model of a 250-Ton Cotton Bailing Press. Complete drawings for the Design and 3-D model were developed by the CAD lab of the department. The patent was granted to Dr.P.A.Sastry (patent no. 180547).
