The department has spacious laboratories with state- of- the- art equipment. The equipment in each laboratory is continuously upgraded and supplemented to meet the curricular norms and also undertake Consultancy works.

Thermal labs have facilities to conduct variety of experiments on Petrol and Diesel engines, Computer Controlled IC Engine Test Rig, Axial Flow Fan, Cascade Wind Tunnel, Steam Boiler and heat transfer test rigs, Oil fired steam boiler, etc.
Production laboratory facilities include large number of Precision lathes, Turret & Spinning lathes, EDM, Cylindrical & Surface Grinding, Tool cutter Grinder, and Dynamo meters.
Metrology Lab instruments include profile projector, LVDT, surface finishing measuring instruments, Tool Makers Microscope, Accelerometer etc
Manufacturing Processes lab has moulding, Sand- testing, TIG, MIG, Butt & Spot welding equipment.
Metallurgy lab is well furnished with surface finishing machines, furnaces and microscopes including an image capture camera and analysis software, Magnetic particle testing equipment.
Kaplan, Pelton and Francis Turbines, Hydraulic & Pneumatic trainer kits and various pump test rigs are available in Hydraulic machines laboratory.
The CAD/CAM laboratory has 75 latest IBM systems and modelling software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, MDT, Inventor, CATIA, Pro/E WildFire3, EdgeCAM and ANSYS CFX.
CAM facility includes a Flexible Manufacturing system with a CNC Lathe and Milling Machines, Robot Arm, Loading and unloading device and Shuttle Conveyor.
Automobile Engineering laboratory has the assembly models of all components of Automobile like ignition system, injection system, hydraulic brake system, fuel pump system, complete chassis of a truck, etc.
Workshop Practise includes different trades like Carpentry, Fitting, Plumbing, Sheet Metal working, House wiring and Welding practise.
Many of the final year student projects are carried out in collaboration with R & D laboratories such as DMRL, DRDL, Midhani, BDL, NFC and IICT.
